With help from Eufora's Mirza Batanovic, you can get this athletic, feminine bun straight from the Katie Ermilio runway at New York Fashion Week.
For the second time straight, Eufora International paired with
Katie Ermilio for the New York Fashion Week Spring 2016 presentation at Pier 59 Studios.
Eufora Global Educator Mirza Batanovic led a team of Eufora educators and stylists to create this look for the collection, which was inspired by aerial perspectives of tennis courts.
“Katie’s description of her collection’s inspiration made it easy to imagine a woman playing couture tennis and getting a little sweaty, which would activate her natural texture, making her want to tie it up off her face," Batanovic said.
The result? A bun that’s equal parts athletic and feminine.
"We decided that a pulled back base knot was ideal. The texture activation happens naturally while perspiring during tennis, and the loose ends of the knot are a result of her not having a mirror; thus creating an imperfect yet feminine bun.”
We have the behind-the-scenes scoop at Paramount. Here's the step-by-step from Batanovic:
1. When hair is completely dry, spray
Eufora Sea Spritz all over to activate natural texture.
2. Using
Eufora Fixation, pull hair back off the face (tighter on the sides) and put in a ponytail at the base of the neck.
3. Using fingers, rake through the top of the head to create separation and texture throughout.
4. Tie a knot with the ponytail and tighten it to desired size. Pin into place.
5. Leave some ends out or tuck them under the knot.
6. Finish the look to set in place with
Eufora's Uplift Finishing Spray.
